This Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm

For the occasion of the Bergamot Station Arts Center "Spring Fling"  some galleries will organize a silent auction and will donate funds to the humanitarian non-profit organization NOVA Ukraine

"Ukrainian Lovely" will be on display at the entrance of Galerie XII along with a Silent Auction Form for Spring Flingers to write in their bids.

Storytime :
Patty Carroll lives in Ukrainian Village in Chicago and has deep respect and empathy for what Ukrainians all over the world are experiencing during this trying moment in time.  She has created this beautiful piece to help support the pro-peace efforts in Ukraine.

About Patty Carroll

Patty Carroll ( the USA, 1946) has been known for her use of highly intense, saturated color photographs since the 1970s. Her most recent and ongoing project, “Anonymous Women,” consists of a 3-part series of studio installations made for the camera, addressing women and their complicated relationships with domesticity. 
The photographs are published as a monograph, Anonymous Women, Daylight Books (2017).
The series has been exhibited internationally and has won multiple awards. Her work has been featured in prestigious blogs and international magazines such as The Huffington Post, The Cut, Ain’t Bad Magazine, and BJP in Britain. Her work has been shown internationally in many one-person exhibits in China and Europe, as well as the USA. (White Box Museum, Beijing, Art Institute of Chicago, Royal Photographic Society, Bath, England, among others.) She has participated in over 100 group exhibitions nationally and internationally, and her work is included in many public and private collections. After teaching photography for many years, Carroll has enthusiastically returned to the studio in order to delight viewers with her playful critique of home and excess. She is currently Artist in Residence at Studios Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.

About Galerie XII

Galerie XII Los Angeles was founded by Valerie-Anne Giscard d’Estaing in 2018. The LA gallery is the brand’s third international space, following the debut of Galerie XII Paris in 2007 and Galerie XII Shanghai, which opened in 2017.  The galleries have showcased the works of top international photographers including Willy Ronis, Guy Bourdin, William Claxton, Benno Graziani, Jean-Marie Périer, Anja Niemi, Mona Kuhn and Paolo Ventura. 


The editorial line of Galerie XII Los Angeles centers on contemporary figurative photography. Its programming aims to exhibit established European and Asian photographers and artists who have not previously shown on the West Coast. The gallery organizes five or six solo exhibitions each year and participates in several art fairs.
