Lyuba, 2009
This baby female mammoth was discovered in Artic Russia in 2007 by two Nenets hunters. Her permanent home is now the Shemanovskiy Museum and Exhibition Center in Salekhard (Russia). According to searchers, she died crossing a river in the Spring, some 42 000 years ago.
