Eight Seconds
Maciej Marcowicz, Eight Seconds
Opening reception: Saturday, November 14, 3–6 pm
On the occasion of the bicentenary of photography, we are delighted to present works by the Polish photographer Maciej Marcowicz, whose practice transforms a remarkable variety of spaces into camera obscuras, from a barge and a van to the gallery itself. Through these immersive interventions, Marcowicz invites viewers to experience the photographic image at its very source, blurring the boundaries between architecture, perception, and photography.

Paolo Ventura: Fifty Exercises in Balance | Milano, Oct. 6 - 31
Celebrating the publication of Paolo Ventura’s 50th book, Acrobats (Cimorelli Editore, 2026), MiCamera (Milano) dedicates a special exhibition to the artist, showcasing all fifty books published throughout his career.
Books have been part of Paolo Ventura’s story since long before he began making them himself. As a child, he would accompany his father — a renowned author of books for children and young adults — on his Saturday-afternoon rounds of Milan’s bookshops: Milano Libri, Hoepli and the Salto brothers’ Bookshop, one of the places where, in the 1950s, artists such as Fontana, Veronesi and Munari used to meet. Ventura says he does not remember those afternoons as boring, but as filled with “great warmth”. And it was at Milano Libri, while still in high school, that he bought his first photography book, almost by chance.
