Upcoming: Vee Speers, Guilty Not Guilty

Private View: Thursday Feb. 29, 4-5 pm Opening: Saturday March 2nd, 4 - 6 pm. Seeking to confront our prejudices and the contexts in which we perceive others, Speers artfully manipulates a collection of mugshots from the midcentury to give their criminal subjects a second chance at judgement. Utilizing bold color and AI animation to bring them to life, Speers offers the subjects new identities that might contradict our initial prejudices. Now it is up for us to decide: are they guilty or not guilty?
